Botanical Gardens Health is dedicated to providing personalised, professional and quality
services across a wide range of medical services. We have a team of dedicated Doctors,
Nurses and administration staff who will be pleased to assist you with your healthcare needs.

We are an accredited training practice and regularly host GP registrars from Royal Australian College of General Practice (RACGP) as well as Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine (ACRRM). You may notice that some doctors only stay on for 12 months. This is because they are required to move onto another training practice to complete the remainder of their training. RACGP and ACRRM appreciate the clinics ongoing commitment to training GP registrars, with such enthusiastic and committed doctors here, GP registrars are often keen to come to Castlemaine to undertake some of their training. We hope that by
encouraging registrars to come to Castlemaine, in time, some may choose to stay on at the
end of their general practice training.

We also have Hospital Medical Officer's (HMO's) from Bendigo Health doing their General
Practice rotation. Each of these Doctors will stay with us for 13 weeks as part of their
training.

Whilst we do still offer telehealth appointments if you are unwell, out of town etc we encourage you to come into the clinic wherever possible. Masks are no longer compulsory, but we do ask that you continue to let us know if you're unwell in anyway as we don’t allow any coughs, colds etc into the clinic. This is to not only protect Doctors, Nurses and staff but also other patients. We encourage all of our patient's to have check-ups every 2 years. Medicare now require us to gain consent from you in order to bulk bill consultations. Once the billing has been completed, you will receive a notification from HotDoc. If this is not actioned, you’ll receive a 2nd notification 24 hours later. This will most likely be an SMS but could also be an email if you have a HotDoc account. Please click on the link and follow the prompts. At times your Doctor or Nurse may use AI to record consultation notes but will always gain your consent before they do so. If you’d like further information regarding this, please don’t hesitate in getting in touch. We are unable to take calls between 1-2pm.
